Show and Shine Judging Categories
Class A – Mini Mk 1 & Mk 2
Class B – Mini Mk 3
Class C – Mini Mk 4 onwards
Class D – Mini Clubman
Class E – Mini Variants (Riley Elf, Wolseley Hornet, Mini Moke, Minivan, Countryman, Traveller, Pickup, Variants of the Mini using “A” series east/west engine. i.e. Marcos, DeJoux, MG1100, Allegro, Metro, Austin/Morris 1300 etc.)
Class F – BMW MINI Generation 1 R50-R53
Class G – BMW MINI Generation 2 R54-R61
Class H – BMW MINI Generation 3 F54-F60
Class I – Modified/Engineered – e.g. non A-Series engines, heavily modified body (e.g. body kit/de- seamed)
Class J – Competition cars, including Race Cars – 1959 to the present
Class K – Unfinished projects and display vehicles (not judged but may be awarded spot prizes)
Classes A to H include cars that have a LVV certification plate
Health & Safety requirements for Solway Showgrounds
Solway Showgrounds is a private space that we have been granted use of by The Masterton A&P Association. As per our Event hazard / risk management plan, the following minimum requirements need to be adhered to:
- Only cars displaying an event window sticker will be allowed into the display area
- All cars must drive at crawling place when entering and leaving the Showgrounds and whilst on the grass areas
- Event Marshalls will be wearing high vis vests and will guide you to your category parking location
- We need to leave the Showgrounds as we found it, please take care not to damage the grassed surface and please dispose of all rubbish into the rubbish bins
- Once you are parked up, please leave your engine switched off until it is time to leave
- A first aid kit, fire extinguisher and oil spill kit will be held in the event gazebo
- Please report any accidents or incidents to the Marshalls at the event gazebo
- Sunscreen will be available at the event gazebo
- Vehicle movements on site will be restricted between 9am and 12pm. If you need to leave, please contact a Marshall
- Toilet facilities are available at various locations around the Showgrounds
- Trailer parking is available opposite the display area
- Due to the park being an open public area, please do not leave valuables on display in vehicles
- There are a range of catering establishments around the Showgrounds which are cash only
- Event briefings will be held outside the event gazebo
Scoring
The following areas will be scored:
- Exterior
- Interior
- Engine Bay
- Boot
- Undercarriage, wheels and tyres
In the event of scores being tied in a category, the judges will be given a tie-breaker criteria to score
Please remember that all judges are volunteers. We will endeavour to ensure that scoring is as fair as possible. All of the cars are special in their own right, and we appreciate the effort you all make to present your cars.
Any final decisions will be at the sole discretion of the MOWOG committee and no correspondence will be entered into.
A number of spot prizes will also be awarded
People’s Choice Award

Voting slips will be available to vote for your favourite car on display
