Event Regulations
- The event will be run under NZDRA rules and is a private event for us run by Masterton Motorplex
- A Masterton Motorplex crash crew will be present to deal with the unlikely event of any incidents
- The track can not run in wet conditions as the surface preparation becomes very slippery
- In the event of wet conditions on the day that cause us to cancel the event, we will unfortunately not be able to issue refunds as we will have already incurred track hire costs
- We will endeavour to arrange an alternative event on the day if we need to cancel or stop the event due to wet conditions
- Due to track safety rules, electric vehicles are not permitted
Driver and Vehicle Safety Requirements
- Drivers participate at their own risk
- Road cars must have a valid Warrant of Fitness
- Race cars fitted with a roll cage must have a Motorsport NZ logbook
- Drivers need to have a motorsport approved helmet and closed in shoes
- Long sleeves and pants are recommended but are not mandatory
- All cars must have a radiator overflow catch tank to reduce the potential for coolant spilling onto the track. This will be checked during scrutineering. This can be a coke can, with a plastic tube attached.
- Fire extinguishers are not compulsory but where fitted they must be retained using an appropriate bracket and two clips. This will be checked during scrutineering
- Passengers over 14 years old are permitted provided they meet the above safety requirements
- Persons competing in the timed ¼ mile will also be able to participate in the Funkhana
NOTE: This is a fun event and you are only racing against the time in your own class.
